Alphageo has secured a contract for 3D seismic data acquisition
The contract, amounting to Rs 39.79 crore from ONGC in February, 2023 for seismic data acquisition in long offset regional 2D (Phase-Il).In this contract, the company will provide services to acquire 303 SKM of 3D seismic data acquisition in OALP Block GV-ONHP-2021/2 Sector-2 in these states.Alphageo, which is a seismic data acquisition service provider for the oil exploration and production sector, bagged a contract worth Rs 20.Alphageo (India) has secured a contract from Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), Dehradun, to acquire seismic data for drilling wells along the Ganga basin in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Central Railway to develop one MW solar plants at 81 locations in Maharashtra
Moreover, the Central Railway has secured a tender for a solar plant of one MW capacity at the new electric loco shed at Ajni.The Central Railway has decided to develop one MW solar plants at 81 locations throughout its network, including one at Ajni in Nagpur, Maharashtra.In June 2023, the railways has already empowered sustainability efforts with solar rooftop plants, and an expanded solar capacity of 135-kWp has been installed at multiple stations.In addition, this project will further expand its solar energy capacity.The Railways have identified around 2,700 acres of vacant or unused railway land as these locations have high potential for solar power infrastructure, which will help reduce the Indian Railway’s carbon emissions.

L&T bags work contracts for its water and effluent treatment business
The contract involves the development of a water supply scheme (WSS) for the Hanumanganj multi-group of villages in the districts of Ballia and Firozabad.L&T Construction, which is an arm of Larsen and Toubro, is engaged in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects, hi-tech manufacturing and services and has operated in over 50 countries globally.L&T Construction has bagged work contracts from the State Water & Sanitation Mission (SWSM) in Uttar Pradesh for its water and effluent treatment business.

French company Vinci Highways on the road to India, again
The company is in discussions to acquire Vindhyachal Expressway (VEPL), which is four-laning the section between Rewa in Madhya Pradesh and Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh on NH-7, said two people aware of the development.Road execution activity in fiscal 2024 is expected to increase 16-21% to 12,000-12,500 km, in the backdrop of a healthy pipeline of projects, increased capital outlay by the government and focus on project completions ahead of the general elections, said a recent ICRA report.However, according to a recent Care Ratings report, around 79% of the traffic on the toll road during FY22 consisted of commercial vehicles, which increased susceptibility of revenue to slowdown in economic downturn.New York-based Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) is also in talks to acquire VEPL, said the people.According to aTime of India report at the time, a key reason for the pullout was the government decision to award road contracts on an EPC basis or on cash contracts rather than public-private partnership.
